As per details, ANF Quetta acting upon a tip-off seized 2.164 kg opium concealed in folds of mountainous terrain at an uninhabited area of Killi Bashore, Tehsil Haramazai, District Qilla Abdullah. The riding party laid a discrete trap to apprehend the smugglers. However, the area did not warrant prolonged stay. Hence arrest could not be materialized. Reportedly the location was being used as a transaction point between two narcotics gangs. As per information, the drugs were to be smuggled abroad via Gwadar.

ANF Peshawar seized 7.7 kg heroin and 2.2 kg of unidentified drug, which has been sent for laboratory test. The drugs were placed in a bag and concealed under bushes of an empty plot near a school in Peshawar. Surveillance continued for 8 hours, however, couldn’t meet success in terms of arrest.

ANF team at Peshawar Airport arrested a man resident of Charsadda and recovered 750 grams of fine quality heroin. The drugs were tactfully concealed in his hand baggage. He was to travel by air and was destined for Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Similarly, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a consignment and recovered 750 grams heroin, tactfully concealed inside wooden stools. The delivery was packed in 2 cartons and drugs were hidden in cavities created inside stools’ legs. The consignment was dispatched from Jhang and was destined for Hungary.
