ANF seizes 115 kg drugs in six operations

RAWALPINDI:Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting six operations across the country managed to recover over 115 kg of drugs and arrested seven accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Monday.

He informed that in two ANF operations conducted near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, a total of 64.8 kg hashish was recovered from two vehicles. The recovered drugs were concealed in the secret cavities of the vehicles. During the operations, four accused residents of Peshawar and Khyber were arrested.

20.4 kg opium, 14.4 kg hashish and 1 kg heroin were recovered from a vehicle stopped near Motorway Toll Plaza Sheikhupura. During the operation, two accused residents of Nowshera were arrested on the spot.

107 heroin-filled capsules were recovered from the possession of a Dubai-bound passenger, going on flight number GF-787. The accused resident of Khyber was netted at Bacha Khan International Airport.

15 kg of hashish was recovered during two operations in Zakha Khel area of Khyber.

Separate cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act were registered against the arrested accused while further investigations were under process.
