ANF seizes 60.27kg drugs, arrests 56 drug traffickers in 45 raids

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), under special countrywide anti drug drive launched on the directives of the ANF director general against drug peddlers, carried out 45 operations and arrested 56 suspects.

According to ANF spokesman, the operations were conducted in view of the increasing trend of drug use among the youth in the country. ANF, in this regard, carried out countrywide operations during June 29 to July 15. Some 60.27 kg narcotics which comprised 11.535 kg Heroin, 43.310 kg Hashish and 5.430 kg Opium worth Rs 109 million in international market were also seized.
