RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered drugs worth Rs 66 million in the international market and arrested 16 drug traffickers, besides seizing two vehicles in 16 countrywide operations.
ANF Rawalpindi arrested Awal Khan, a resident of Attock, and recovered five kilograms of Hashish concealed in his luggage.
ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Haji Camp bus stand and recovered 25.2 kilograms of Hashish. Two people, Muhammad Arif and Sadat Iqbal, were arrested.
In another operation, ANF Peshawar Road Check Team recovered two kilograms of Hashish from an accused named Ihsan Ullah. In yet another operation, ANF Peshawar Road Check Team recovered six kilograms of Hashish from the possession of Razia Perveen and Gulnaz Bibi.
The ANF Peshawar Airport Team arrested Mudassir-ur-Rehman at Peshawar Airport while he was boarding a PIA Flight, PK 217, to Abu Dhabi and recovered 770 grams of Hashish. The ANF Airport Team arrested Ismail Khan, a resident of Karachi, at Faisalabad Airport and recovered 700 grams of amphetamine.
ANF Peshawar Airport Team arrested a passenger, Imran Khan, on suspicion of his having swallowed heroin-filed capsules. Later, 290 grams of heroin were recovered from the heroin-filled capsules.
