ANF seizes huge quantity of heroin in different operations

LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out an operation at Sialkot airport and arrested a passenger Muhammad Amir,  a resident of Khushab. The suspect confessed to gulping heroin filled capsules, which were recovered from his stomach.

Further interrogation led to the recovery of another 770 grams of heroin which was concealed in his shoes. The accused intended to board on flight for Jeddah .

In another operation, ANF authorities intercepted a parcel at a courier service company at Sialkot and recovered 890 grams of heroin concealed in footballs. The parcel was intended to be dispatched to the United Kingdom.

ANF staff deputed at Allama Iqbal airport arrested a Nigerian national, who confessed of having heroin filled ingested capsules. He engulfed 80 capsules containing 1.2 kilogram of heroin. The accused intended to take off for Nigeria via Dubai.
