Another vehicle imported on fake MoC letter recovered

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement-West has recovered another vehicle, Mercedes Benz C-200, Model 2008, imported on fake letter of Ministry of Commerce (MoC).

Appraising Officer Muhammad Naeem Khan informed Customs Today that the Appraisement of Intelligence Bureau (AIB)/PRV Section of MCC Appraisement-West has recovered Mercedes Benz C-200, Model 2008 which makes the total of confiscated vehicles up to four, while all models of Mercedes Benz have been recovered by Pakistan Customs.

He further stated that remaining three vehicles would also be recovered in few days as the AIB Section is making all-out efforts for the recovery of the illegal imported vehicles.

He further informed this scribe that the clearing agent M/s Trade Link Services International has voluntarily handed over the illegal imported vehicle to the authorities concerned of Pakistan Customs.

He further informed that the imported vehicle was in use of the management of an influential and famous construction company. When asked, the Customs official refused to disclose the name of the construction company.

However, sources told this scribe that the illegally imported vehicle i.e. Mercedes Benz was in use of the management of Bahria Town.
