Special court sentences drug dealer to 14 years imprisonment

LAHORE: An anti-narcotics special court has sent a drug dealer behind the bars for 14 years. Culprit Mukhtar commonly known as Maju was arrested in a case of dealing in contraband items. At least 10 kilogram chars was recovered from Maju last year when he was arrested by ANF. After investigation and prosecution, the anti-narcotics force presented his chalan before the court where Special Judge Khalid Nawaz sentenced him to 14 years jail and Rs 50,000 fine.

Advocate Akhtar Dhilon appeared in the Court on behalf of Mukhtar, who argued for the release of accused but Chalan submitted by Anti Narcotics was strong because of proofs against the culprit. Special Court of Anti Narcotics ordered 14 years jail and Rs 50,000 penalty to the culprit.
