KARACHI: The Appellate Tribunal of Inland Revenue has barred revenue authority from recovering tax from Awan Trading Co Pvt Ltd, a coal dealer.
Member (Judicial Appellate Tribunal) Muhammad Jawaid Zakarya has directed the LTU-II from recovering tax from the company for at least 30 days.
The LTU-II had move the tribunal against the taxpayer M/s Awan Trading Co for making additions in the company’s revenues. The taxpayer through the counsel submitted that in the present case department raised unjustified demand from the taxpayer intentionally ignoring the admitted facts.
