Appraisement-East collects Rs 26.1 billion in March 2016

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East collected Rs 26.102 billion under the head of duty/taxes during March 2016.

According to statistics available with the Customs Today, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 9.064 billion under the head of customs duty, Rs 12.825 billion under the head of sales tax, Rs 4.120 million as income tax and Rs 92.47 million under head of federal excise duty (FED) in March, 2016.

Significantly, the it collected Rs 1.333 billion on the last working day i.e March 31, 2016 that include Rs 407.04 million under the head of customs duty; Rs 483.65 million under head of sales tax.

At all, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 221.513 billion duty/taxes during July to March of current fiscal year 2015-16 including Rs 70.736 billion under head of customs duty; Rs 113.428 billion as sales tax; Rs 36.333 billion as income tax and Rs 1.014 billion under head of FED.
