KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement-West has collected Rs 21560 million in December 2014 under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty.
According to statistics, the collectorate has collected Rs 10132 million customs duty with an increase of Rs 2129million as compared to the collection in December 2013.
The collectorate has collected Rs 8311 million sales tax in December 2014 with an increase of Rs 1289 million sales tax December 2013, as the collectorate collected Rs 7022 million in the same month in the year 2013.
The Appraisement-West has collected Rs 2979 million income tax in December 2014 with an increase of Rs 259 million as compared to the revenue generated in the same month of 2013. The collectorate had collected Rs 2720 million income tax in December 2013.
The collectorate has collected Rs 138 million federal excise duty in December 2014 with an increase of Rs 51million as compared to the collection in December 2013. The collectorate has collected Rs 87 million in December 2013.
Collector Muhammad Saleem has shown satisfaction over the performance of the officials/officers of the collectorate in connection with the revenue collection.
He stressed the authorities concerned of the collectorate to expedite the pace of revenue generation.
