Armenia to discusses railway link with Iran

YEREVAN: Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan will discuss the Armenia-Iran railway on a visit to China in an effort to attract Chinese investment in the project, Armenian News Agency News Am reported.From Sept. 23-25, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan will discuss the Armenia-Iran railway on a visit to China in an effort to attract Chinese investment in the project, Armenian News Agency News Am reported.

Armenia joins the countries seeking to take advantage of Iran’s new term after sanctions are removed. Armenia’s plans include new deals for a rail line, natural gas, power transmission, highway, railway and hydro power projects.Armenia is negotiating a series of major trade and investment deals with Iran in the wake of international sanctions being lifted.
