SIALKOT: Model Customs Collectorate Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro said that 5 to 7 full container load (FCL) consignments and 11 to 13 less than container load (LCL) consignments were exported from Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) during last week after checking of customs and ANF officials.

Waheed said that the exports from SDPT were at better level as the exporters of Sialkot region were playing their active role for generating national revenue. He said that export of LCL consignments has increased at Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL).

He said that the one window operations and WeBOC system were facilitating the exporters at every step making the process simpler. He said that the experienced officers and officials were performing their duties at SDPT and SIAL diligently.

He said that any wrong consignment will never be cleared from Sialkot region, adding that if any officer or official found involve in clearance of such consignments, they will bring to table as per law.

If an exporter intends to pack a container to the full capacity or full payload with the consignments of two or more consignees for the same destination, the case is LCL and the carrier will charge the LCL freight rate on each consignment.

The FCL means the load reaches its allowable maximum (or full) weight or measurement. In practice, however, the FCL in the ocean freight does not always mean packing a container to its full payload or full capacity.
