Asian Development Bank to ensure provision of potable water to Sialkot

SIALKOT: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced to evolve an advanced and effective strategy for ensuring the smooth provision of direly needed sanitation and potable water to the people of Sialkot.

Acting DCO Sialkot Adnan Mehmood Awan stated this while talking to the local MPA Mansha Ullah Butt at the DCO office here on Tuesday.

Acting DCO added that a three-member special team of Asian Development Bank (ADB) experts will soon visit Sialkot for this purpose, saying that the ADB experts would also make feasibility report regarding the early launch of schemes for sanitation  and potable drinking water facilities.

On this occasion, MPA Manshaullah Butt said that the said ADB project was very important and has much significant, which would had very positive impacts on the local environment, besides, raising the living standard of the local people.

He said that Sialkot had the problems of clogged sanitation system with multiple problems including non-availability of the potable drinking water facilities. He said that ADB project, hopefully, would solve these prolonged and perturbing problems, in this regard.
