LAHORE: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has confiscated 10 spilt air conditioners worth Rs 300,000 near Daroghawala.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of Superintendent Munawar Khan on secret information. The other members including Inspectors Abdul Rehman Butt, Muhammad Tufail, Muhammad Aslam and Muhammad Aslam Asif participated in the raid.
The officials conducted raid near Fatergarh, Daroghawala and recovered 10 units from Izat Khan, which were seized under the customs laws.
However, owner of smuggled split AC units are ready to pay leviable duty/taxes to release goods, sources said.
