FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Customs Collectorate Deputy Collector (DC) has issued “ Special Alerts” for all the Anti-Smuggling Organizations’ (ASO), superintendents and officials staff to clear the consignments.
Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector (D.C) Muhammad Rizwan issued a notification No: C. No: (Admin) Exp/7/2016/2558 through Administration Branch to circulate “Special Alerts” among all the groups of the collectorate.
In the notification alerts, the deputy collector directed all the officials concerned to ensure “zero pendency” on daily basis and the consignments should be examined strictly. The superintendent and officials should update the Goods Declaration Chart on daily basis. The appraising officials and examiners should not contact the importers and clearing agents directly and should send query to their respective officers in case of any information about the consignments.
Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan also directed that no container or goods cleared from any port or customs station shall be impounded or held or later released without the prior approvals and the knowledge of deputy collector ASO Faisalabad.
