FAISALABAD: The Anti smuggling organization (ASO) has seized 2,600 cartons of dates worth Rs 4.2 million loaded on a Volvo trailer.
Sources told Customs Today that the ASO team received credible information through Dr Zulafqar Ali Choudhry of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Faisalabad about the alleged smuggling of dates from Peshawar to Faisalabad. After getting information, the ASO Faisalabad raided and impound a Volvo trailer bearing Registration No. AE-0059 (Iran), model 1988 and confiscated 2,600 cartons of dates worth R’s 4.2 million.
