Hyderabad ASO confiscates smuggled diesel worth Rs 7.8 million

HYDERABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organisation team confiscated an oil tanker loaded with 60,000 liter foreign origin diesel worth Rs 7.8 million from Mirpur khas Road.

Sources informed Customs Today that ASO team under the supervision of Additional Collector Omar Shafique intercepted the oil tanker bearing registration No. TLX-770 and recovered 60,000 liters smuggled diesel.

The ASO team including Deputy Superintendent Siknadar Akbar Pahhwar, Inspector Momin Shah, Seizing officer Khair Muhammad Pathan conducted operation under the supervision of additional collector.

After seizing the oil tanker, customs has deposited it to state ware house Hyderabad while further investigation is underway.
