ASO impounds fabrics & vehicle worth Rs3.8m

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Islamabad seized foreign origin smuggled fabrics and an offending vehicle Toyota Hiace valued Rs3.8million on Wednesday.

According to details told by Deputy Superintendent Rana Shakeel that on the information shared by Collector Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad that a Hiace fully loaded with foreign origin fabrics is coming from Peshawar. The ASO staff intercepted the Hiace and found 1400 kilogram of different kinds of imported fabric and the offending vehicle.

Rana Shakeel told Customs Today that the value of fabric was estimated Rs2.3million and the value of the vehicle was estimated Rs1.5million. An FIR has been lodged against the offenders according to the Customs Act-1969. The impounded goods and the offending vehicle have been shifted to Customs State Ware House Islamabad.
