ASO Jhang seizes Toyota Hiace van‏

JHANG: The Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Jhang has seized a smuggled Toyota Hiace van. The market value of the vehicle is Rs 2,000,000 while its CIF value is Rs 95,0000.

According to sources, Assistant Collector Faisalabad Muhammad Asim Awan received a credible information regarding the said vehicle.

After receiving the information ASO Assistant Collector immediately constituted a raiding party comprising Zahid Raza Bukhari (superintendent), Asghar Mehdi Naqvi, Shouqat Khan and Mujahid Abbas (inspector), and Ghulam Abbas (driver),  Muhammad Ali Mr Zulafqar Ali, Ziaullah Cheema and Muhammad Ajmal (Sepoys).

The ASO team intercepted Toyota Hiace van bearing registeration no. LWC-4774 , near Hawely Bhadar Shah Multan Road Jhang city. The ASO team asked  driver of the vehicle who was identified as Muhammad Afzal son of Sher Muhammad, a resident of Sultanpur Jhang, to produce legal documents regarding the possession of the vehicle but he failed to provide the same. Upon his failure, the Customs team seized the said vehicle and registered a case against the accused.
