FAISALABAD: The Mianwali Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has confiscated 1,920 cartons of foreign origin ( Adorina Brand ) ceramic tiles.
According to the sources, ASO Mianwali has seized 1920 cartons Iranian tiles worth Rs 3.97 million. Sources told Customs Today that the ASO Mianwali after receiving credible information through Model Customs Collectorates (MCC), Faisalabad, Collector Dr, Zulafqar Ali Choudhary about the smuggling of ceramic tiles.
Following information, the ASO team raided the near Musa Khail Rawalpindi Road and found 1,920 cartons of foreign origin ceramic tiles.
The ASO team also arrested the accused who was identified as Hameed Ullah, son of Najeeb Ullah, a resident of Kali Sheikhan, Arab Karam Khan Road, Queeta. Accused failed to presents any legal evidence regarding the import of the items.
ASO raiding team including Muhammad Safdar Ali ( Inspector ), Muhammad Nazim, Shamshair Hussain, (UDC), Muhammad Ashraf ( Havaldar ), Muhammad Amin Bhatti, Saide Rasool, Ghulam Mohyuddin and Zia Ullah Bhatti, Faiz Ahmad, ( Sepoys ).
