ASO seizes 30kg charas worth millions of rupees from a cabbie

KARACHI: Pakistan Customs Preventive’s Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has seized almost 30 kilogrammes of charas from a cab and arrested the driver.

The team conducted the operation on tip-off to foil a bid to smuggle drugs. As per the details, the ASO team signalled a cab to stop near Mocko checkpoint on the RCD Highway. Upon searching the vehicle, the team found 30kg charas hidden inside. The drugs were seized and the taxi driver arrested. The value of seized charas is millions of rupees in the market.
