ASO Sargodha seized foreign origin black tea.‏

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization ASO Sargodha seized foreign origin black tea weighting 680 kilograms. The market value of seized tea is Rs 340,000 while its CIF value is Rs 11,5000/-. The tea also have tax value amounting to Rs 50,462.

According to details, ASO Sargodha received credible information regarding smuggling of foreign origin black tea.  The raiding team conducted the raid on the residence of Asif Ali son of Sardar Ali who is a resident of House No. 20, Rashid Colony, PAF Road, Sargodha, and Mohammad Kashif Sultan son of Malik Mohammad Hanif who is a resident of Mela Mundi Mohallad Tariqabad Sargodha. During investigation process the accused Asif Ali and Mohammad Kashif Sultan confess the custody of that foreign origin black tea which were hide in a locality near 33- Phatak Bhawal Road Sargodha.

The raiding party ask the accused to produce legal documents regarding import of above said tea, but the accused failed to produce the same. Upon their failure raiding party seized the tea and registered a case against accused persons. Further inquiries are under process till the filing of this report.
