ASO Sargodha seizes Toyota Hiace Van.‏

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Sargodha has seized foreign origin Toyota Hiace van. The market value of the seized vehicle is Rs 1.2 million, involving duty and taxes amounting to Rs 655,680. The Toyota Hiace is 1984 model.

Sources told Customs Today that Assistant Collector Muhammad Asim Awan received information regarding the smuggling of the vehicle. After receiving the tip, Assistant Collector immediately constituted a raiding team comprising Muhammad Ansir Saleemi (Inspector), Rana Muhammad Ashraf,( havildar ) Muhammad Amin, Shafqat Mehmood Muhammad Feroz, Muhammad Mansha (sepoys).

The ASO team intercepted Toyota Hiace van bearing registration No. LHP-3513 near Lahore bypass Sargodha Road Sargodha. The ASO team asked owner of the vehicle who is identified as Sana Ullah son of  Muhammad Jamil  to produce legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle but he failed to provide the same. After this ASO team seized the vehicle and registered a case against the owner of the vehicle.
