ASO seizes cigarettes, fabric worth Rs 1.5m

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) while foiling a smuggling attempt has seized UK made Royal Business cigarettes, textile fabric and ladies textile fabric worth Rs 1.512 million from Peshawar-Lahore Highway near Dina during an action.

According to the details, mobile squad of the Islamabad Customs was on its routine checking when it intercepted a passenger vehicle coming from Peshawar and recovered 250 cartons of Royal Business cigarettes valued at Rs 200,000, 605 kilogram of textile fabric worth Rs 1.2 million and 220kg ladies textile fabric worth Rs 112,035.
