LAHORE: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of the Customs Department has seized a huge quantity of illegally imported curtain cloth near Badami Bagh.
Official sources told Customs Today that the ASO team intercepted two trucks loaded with illegally imported curtain cloth worth million of rupees.
The ASO team demanded clearance document from the owners of the cloth but they failed to produce anything against the Chinese made cloth.
The sources said that the operation was conducted by the ASO team led by superintendent Munawar Khan along with the superintendent Ijaz Rasool, inspector Irfan Mumtaz, Muhammad Aslam Chaudhary and others.
The sources said that the customs authorities after registering case have initiated investigations to reach to the parties involved.
