ASO seizes illicit medicines

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) seized Indian made medicines, including illicit medicine worth of Rs 684,700 from Peshawar-Lahore Highway during an action.

According to the details, a mobile squad was on its routine checking when they intercepted a passenger vehicle coming from Peshawar and recovered illegally imported drugs, including Omperazole I-P, Norfloxacin, Vitamin C, Lanced-DM, Glucid-D and a huge quantity of illicit drugs while searching the vehicle. The officials also arrested the driver of the vehicle.

The seizure was made under the supervision of Superintendent Zargam Dil. The high ups of the Islamabad Customs appreciated the officials on seizing the illegal drugs.
