ASO seizes smuggled BMW worth Rs 30m in Mardan

ISLAMABAD: The customs authorities in Mardan have seized a non-duty paid BMW car worth Rs 30 million.

Peshawar Customs Deputy Collector Muhammad Amin told Customs Today that the mobile squad of the Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) in Mardan seized the BMW car.

According to details, the ASO team was on routine patrolling when they saw a suspicious car and signalled the driver to pull over. They asked the driver of the vehicle for documentation of the BMW, but he failed to provide the original documents.

The authorities seized the car and sent to the state warehouse. Moreover, an FIR has been logged against the driver, while further investigation is underway.
