ASO seizes smuggled cloth, Toyota Hiace Van

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) impounded a Toyota Hiace Van laden with smuggled cloth worth millions of rupees during an action.

Keeping the anti-smuggling driver continue on the special directions of Islamabad Customs Collector Arslan Subuctageen, the officials intercepted a van coming from Peshawar to Islamabad.

While checking the vehicle, the officials recovered cloth and asked the person concerned named Toora Khan to show documents regarding the legal import of the cloth, but he remained failed to do the same.

Therefore, the recovered cloth and offender vehicle were impounded under the customs laws, besides registering a case against the accused person.

Meanwhile, Islamabad collector has appreciated the performance of the officials and announced a special reward for the anti-smuggling staff.
