MULTAN: Assistant Collector Multan Dry Port Faizan Badar has strictly directed Multan Dry Port Trust authorities to make sufficient arrangements for shifting export on WeBOC system.

The MDPT is allegedly using delaying tactics and it has not taken any initiative for transferring of export from One Customs to WeBOC system. Import clearances of Multan Dry Port are already cleared through WeBOC system but MDPT is reluctant in shifting export consignments from “One Customs” due to their ineligibility.

Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich is constantly directing MDPT authorities for shifting all export also on WeBOC system for clearance of export shipments. MDPT have not registered their bonded carrier vehicles with Customs and they are facing of scarcity of registered vehicles.

Assistant Collector Faizan Badar is pursuing issue of export which is still running on the One Customs and he has once again directed MDPT to shift export on WeBOC from One Customs system for the clearance of consignment.

Exporters are shifting gradually in Karachi for clearance of their export and due to lack of WeBOC system in Multan Dry Port there is probable chances that import also can made their clearances from Karachi.

Most of South Punjab importers are already availing import facilities from Karachi for clearances of their consignment and its also major threat for local import to hold them for their import consignments.
