ATIR reserves verdict on tax matter filed by M/s Pakistan Telecom Mobile

ISLAMABAD: A bench of the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) has reserved a decision on a tax matter filed by M/s Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited.

ATIR Member Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Bhatti reserved the decision after he had issued directives, seeking their concluding arguments on last date of hearing. As the proceedings resumed, counsels submitted record too.

M/s Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited had contested show cause notices issued by the field offices of Federal Board of Revenue. The company had challenged a recovery notice issued to it under the head of outstanding income tax by the LTU, Islamabad.

M/s Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited had submitted the department had issued the demand for the tax year 2014 under head of income tax under provisions of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), officers of LTU including Commissioner Inland Revenue, Commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals) and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue.
