DOHA: Q-Auto, the official dealer for Audi in Qatar, has registered impressive growth in Qatar’s car market. Despite being a relatively new entrant in the local car market,  the dealer witnessed 25 percent growth in sales in 2014 compared to previous year.

“Audi in Qatar has achieved the strongest growth in the GCC for the Audi brand over the three consecutive years since Q-Auto was established in 2012,” Anthony Kwan, Marketing Manager, Q-Auto told The Peninsula in a recent interaction.

The company attributes higher sales to its strategy of focusing on customer delight and after sales service. “Customer delight, after sales service along with innovative schemes and promotions are the major factors behind this strong performance,” said Kwan.

Q-7, A-8 and A-3 are Audi’s top selling models in Qatar. These models make up around 45 percent of dealer’s total sales. Other models such as A-4, A-7 and TT have also seen good response from customers.

The company expects growth trajectory to continue in the coming years helped by new product launches in coming months.

“A new model will be launched next week while two- three models will be launched next year. Launch  of new models play crucial role in attracting customers and driving sales up,” said Kwan.  “We want grow at rate faster than our competitors in coming years,” he added.

Q-Auto will soon be opening a service center in Industrial Area. The state-of-the-art service center will be spread over an area of 22,000 square meters.

“Our  aims to provide customers with an un-matching, high level of vehicle servicing and maintenance and the new service center will help us in achieving this goal,” said.

He added that Audi makes several changes in the vehicles as per the need of this region. The air conditions has been made more powerful and many features which are optional in Europe come as standard feature in this region.

He said that Q-Auto continues to devise innovating ways for customer satisfaction. The dealer offers a service to customers in which they do not need to go to Industrial Area for periodic servicing of cars. They can drop their cars at Salwa Road showroom from where the dealer takes cars for servicing and brings it back to the showroom. The customers can take back the serviced car from the showroom.

In 2014, the Audi Group delivered approximately 1,741,100 cars of the Audi brand to its customers. The company achieved revenue of €53.8bn and an operating profit of €5.15bn in 2014.
