Australian police arrest culprit with drugs

PERTH: A 54-year-old St Helens Beach man charged with producing dangerous drugs as police continued to target drug suppliers.

Detective Sergeant Brett Jackson, team leader of the Mackay Drug Taskforce says police are continuing to target those who are engaging in the sale and use of illegal and dangerous drugs in the Mackay community.

He said there were more seizures of cannabis and Ice occurred this week which resulted in four offenders being charged, including a 54-year-old St Helens Beach man charged with producing dangerous drugs, and a 29-year-old Bakers Creek man charged with supplying dangerous drugs.

Both men will appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court in early January.
