BAKU: The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has renewed statistical data on Azerbaijani oil export via the major pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev. In April 2015 oil pumping via BTC increased by 2.1% against April 2015.
The SOCAR informs that 2.386 million tons of Azeri oil was carried via BTC to Turkey’s Ceyhan port in May against 2.337 million tons in April, 2.521 million tons in March (the best level in 2015), 2.23 million tons in February, 2.47 million tons in January 2015 and 2.462 million tons in December 2014.
In 2015 oil pumping totals 11.946 million tons. From the very start of the BTC operation in mid-2006 to 1 June 2015 the pipeline delivered 275.771 million tons of oil to Ceyhan.
In 2014 Azeri oil transportation via BTC made up 28.508 million tons. The best index for 2014 was recorded in May (2.725 million tons). In the 1st quarter of 2014 oil export made 7.004 million tons, in the 2nd quarter – 7.539 million tons, in the 3rd quarter – 7.305 million tons, and in the 4th quarter – 6.7 million tons. The best monthly index for 2013 was registered in May (2.865 million tons). In 2012 the best pumping was recorded in May (2.8 million tons), in 2011 – in January (2.9 million tons) and in 2010 – in May (3.5 million tons).
In 2013 oil transportation totaled 29.7 million tons and in 2012 – 29.67 million tons. Oil pumping via BTC totaled 32.224 million tons in 2011. In 2010 oil pumping via BTC totaled 37 million tons against 36.2 million tons in 2009. The highest figures of pumping in 2009 were registered in May and June (3.3 million tons each month).
