Bahawalpur housing schemes to get forensic audit: FIA

BAHAWALPUR: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has written a letter to Director General, Bahawalpur Development Authority, Commissioner Bahawalpur and Executive Officer Cantonment Board for conducting forensic audit of housing schemes, officials confirmed.

Official sources said here on Thursday that offices of Director General, Bahawalpur Development Authority, Commissioner Bahawalpur and Executive Officer, Cantonment Board have received a letter issued by FIA Multan Circle which depicted that the law enforcement agency was going to conduct forensic audit of all housing societies in Bahawalpur. “Forensic audit will be conducted of all housing societies including registered and unregistered,” it said.

The FIA asked the officials concerned to provide it with list of all registered and unregistered housing societies immediately besides appointing representatives of the departments concerned to coordinate with FIA. It is mentioned here that the apex court has set stipulated time of 90 days for FIA to conduct forensic audit of the housing schemes.
