Bajwa Cricket Club wins first RCCI T20 Inter Club Cricket Tournament

RAWALPINDI: Bajwa Cricket Club has won the First RCCI T20 inter club cricket tournament at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Bajwa Club playing first scored 145 in allotted 20 years and in response Malik Gymkhana Club all out in last over at 132.

Commander, Brigadier Salman Moin was the chief guest on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Ali Randhawa, ,  President RCCI Malik Shahid Saleem ,Chairman PHA Asif Mahmood, representatives from Sports Board and Cricket Association, Mubashar Qasuri, Waheed Baber, RCCI officer bearers and members, former presidents and a large number of cricket fans were present at the closing ceremony.

Chief Guest Salman Moin, in his remarks appreciated RCCI efforts in promoting healthy activities in the city and expressed hope that in future more sports along with cricket and activities will be organized on regular basis. He assured full support and assistance for future endeavors.

Earlier, President RCCI Malik Shahid Saleem said that the main purpose of this initiative was to promote healthy activities among the youth. It’s a part of RCCI key imitative “Glorious Rawalpindi” aiming to mainstream the positive image of the city through different parts and segments including sports activities, beautification and revival of historical places of Rawalpindi.  The tournament will also help to identify new emerging talent in the city.

Later the winning trophy was awarded to Bajwa Cricket Club Captain.
