KARACHI: Bearish trend continued in the Karachi Stock Exchange as benchmark KSE-100 index shed 34.84 points to close at 35112.29 points level on Friday, the last trading day.
The stock recorded maximum trading level at 35371.52 points and minimum level at 35091.73 points, with the total volume of 145,115,070 shares, having Rs8,022,725,396 value.
On Thursday, fear of foreigner selling in local bourse hurt investor sentiment in trading session as KSE-100 Index declined by 181.70 points to close at 35147.13 points level or 0.52pc.
The market continued to be dominated by profit-taking as the index ended in red zone. Cement sector witnessed the downside with DGKC, FCCL, LUCK and MLCF ending 1.3pc, 0.1pc, 2.7pc and 1.8pc lower. Fertilizer sector remained under pressure as EFERT, Engro and FFC all saw a decline of 1.7pc, 1.1pc and 0.2pc.
