Bearish trend persists as KSE-100 index loses 118pts till midday

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange Tuesday shed another 118.31 points to reach 33266 points level till midday.

The stocks witnessed the highest trading level of 33417.63 points and lowest trading level of 33138.84 points. The total volume of market remained 33,403,170 shares, having Rs2,557,304,169 value.

Earlier, the bearish trend continued in the Karachi stocks as 100-index shed 220.28 points to drop to 33164.45 points level.

On Monday, the KSE-100 index lost 287.99 points (0.86 per cent) to close at 33,384.73. Foreigners sold stocks worth $1.08 million which took the month-to-date foreign portfolio outflow at $14.4m and year-to-date at $171.52m. Traded volume declined to 16-week low of 134m shares (Rs5.2 billion value).
