TOKYO: The ‘Best of E3’ nominations have been revealed it looks like Bethesda they could potentially take some of the biggest awards of the show.
In the nominations they have been nominated for:
Fallout 4
Best of Show
Best Console Game
Best PC Game
Best RPG
DOOM
Best PC Game
Best Action Game
Fallout Shelter
Best Handheld Game
This is an impressive list, especially if they manage to take Best of Show. In this award they would be up against Horizon Zero Dawn, Oculus Touch, Star Wars Battlefront and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. These are not surprisingly the biggest names at the event so it will be a tough competition.
An interesting note is the games that were not included in the nominations. These are included at the bottom of the list with this statement:
“Please note: The following games were not made playable to Game Critics judges at E3 and therefore disqualified from main award consideration: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, and XCOM 2.”
When it comes to games that were not playable, this can only be assumed to mean that games that were only shown in trailer form don’t count in the competition, which is a fair decision to make.
When the awards are announced, it will be interesting to what Bethesda wins, and which go to other games that are just as deserving as their games.
Also, do these awards really mean anything? Remember that one of the most awarded shows last year was Evolve, and on release it didn’t get the best reception.
