PESHAWAR: The Customs Staff of the Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) Peshawar received Rs171.20million of all duty and taxes during the Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.
According to details told by Additional Deputy Collector Fazle Samad of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar, the BKIA showed outstanding revenue collection performance during FY16-17. During said period, the BKIA received Rs46.58million of Customs Duty whereas it did Rs19.07million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges. And the BKIA got Rs2.15million of Redemption Duty (RD) on Imports during FY16-17.
Samad told CT that during FY16-17, the BKIA generated Rs52.98million of Sales Tax (ST) while it did Rs5.98million of ST on Imports. And the BKIA collected Rs44.44million of Additional Income Tax (AIT).
Additional Deputy Collector further told CT that during the corresponding Financial Year 2015-16, the BKIA earned Rs190million under all heads whereas it did Rs75.84million of total CD. And BKIA received Rs59.97million of total ST and it did Rs47.0million of total AIT during FY15-16.
