Accused Mubarak Sheikh was caught red handed by the Customs Intelligence team when he was trying to smuggle BOPP films worth Rs 4.5 million.

The customs team raided a warehouse and recovered two trucks loaded with smuggled items. The warehouse was also owned by Mubarak Sheikh. The Customs authorities asked him to produce legal documents of the BOPP film but he failed to produce the same.

The Customs authorities arrested him and registered a case against him under Section 2 (2), 16, 18, 132 A, 156 89 and 178 of Customs Act, 1969.

Now the special court of Chaudary Ameer Muhammad Khan has sent the accused to jail for fourteen days again on the judicial trial.
