BRINDEX-30 closed on lower side at 23,214.19 points with negative change

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Thursday at 23,214.19 points with a negative change of -92.94 and volume of 83,433,200 shares. High and Low were 23,435.88 and 23,198.92 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 12 were up, 18 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 137,668,780 shares. Total companies traded were 361 of which 119 were positive, 229 were negative and 13 were unchanged.

Chemicals was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 21,925,090 shares. It was followed by Cable and Electrical Goods with a total traded volume of 12,829,700 shares.

The three top traded companies were Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited with a volume of 16,004,500 and price per share of 17.48 (0.56), Pak Elektron Limited with a volume of 12,197,000 and price per share of 28.28 (0.60), Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (A) with a volume of 8,733,500 and price per share of 7.35 (0.33).

The top three advancers were Colgate Palmolive (Pakistan) Ltd with a volume of 40 and price per share of 2,000 (30.00), Service Industries Limited with a volume of 750 and price per share of 829.90 (19.90), Indus Motor Company Limited with a volume of 25,540 and price per share of 1,303.79 (16.78).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 8,800 (-200.00), Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 3,100 (-127.00), Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 7,100 (-50.00).
