KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Assistant Commissioner Mushtaq Fasih has said that Budget 2015-16 is well-balanced and prepared after consulting all the trade bodies and industrialists. He said the revenue board officials held several meeting to take everyone’s suggestions.
He said that the FBR had already consulted with trade chambers and took many measures to bring more and more people into the tax net. He said the board took these measures to achieve revenue targets. He said that inflation rate had increased and prices of daily use items were getting high, so “we are trying to collect taxes from wealthy persons and provide some relief to the poor people”.
“We are expecting criticism in this budget, and people will find that there is a difference between the past and present budgets.”
