Businessmen should avail benefits of current Tax Amnesty Scheme: Commissioner IR Saleem

FAISALABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) organized a seminar on tax amnesty scheme in Conference Hall. The basic purpose of the seminar was to create awareness among business community about the benefits of Tax Amnesty Scheme 2019 and procedures to adopt the scheme.

Renowned businessmen participated in the awareness and motivational session to avail the tax amnesty scheme to legalize their hidden assets which existed within and outside the country.

On the occasion, Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue (ACIR) Madam Farzana Gohir, Staff Officer Chenab Zone Rana Asghar, Secretary RTO Union Amjad Latif and Media Cell In-charge Munir Ahmed Rafhai were specially invited to give briefing to the participants and answer the questions of taxpayers.

Commissioner Inland Revenue Muhammad Saleem said that tax amnesty scheme is unique and introduced first time in Pakistan to legalize hidden assets at minimum tax rates.

He said that this scheme is beneficial for the capitalist businessmen as well as for the country so the maximum people should avail this scheme to legalize their assets to strengthen the economy of our country.

He highlighted that now Federal Board of Revenue is connected with OECD and has complete information about the particulars of Pakistani nationals who have undeclared properties in UK, Dubai and other countries.

So this is a golden opportunity to legalize their assets within and outside our country. The offices of FBR are open and officers are available to facilitate and guide each and every person.
