24, 921, 101 worth Rs1b securities transferred: CDC committed to facilitating KASB accountholders

KARACHI: Central Depository Company of Pakistan handled 126 Transfer of Holding Cases (THC) while 24,921,101 securities worth around Rs1 billion have been transferred from KASB Securities into respective accounts besides other additional measures to facilitate account holders of KASB Securities.

Since the announcement by SECP, CDC has set up dedicated help desks and extensive support has been made available through CDC Call Center and Investor Account Services at all branches to facilitate investors.

It is important to note that the requests with respect to KASB Securities made so far have been fulfilled. In the same reference, 141 Investor Accounts have also been opened with CDC. Similarly, the CDC Call Center has received 600 calls per day on an average in this regard alone this working week. The CDC Head Office in Karachi and branch offices in Lahore and Islamabad will remain open on Saturday, November 22, 2014 to further facilitate customers. All these measures are in line with CDC””s policy of facilitating customers and playing an integral role in safeguarding their investment portfolios.
