Central region’s sales tax collection up 20pc

LAHORE: The Customs Central region has collected Rs 9,716 million sales tax, registering a growth of 20 percent during the month of April 2016.

As per data, Customs Appraisement collected Rs 4015 million, registering growth of Rs 28 percent while Preventive collected Rs 999 million. On the other hand, Multan collectorate collected Rs4,076 million, showing a growth of 17 percent. Similarly, the Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 626 million adding 33 percent growth to the sales tax collection.
