LAHORE: Chairman FPCCI standing committee on anti-smuggling Nasir Hameed has said that the government must give relief to the small traders by reducing customs duty and tax rate in order to cultivate habit of paying tax among the traders.
He urged the government to reduce customs duty by 5 percent on the goods which were being smuggled in the local market to tackle the menace of smuggling.
H added that reduction in tax and duties will motivate the traders to pay their taxes and duties.
While suggesting fix tax scheme he asked the government to bring the traders into tax net and the traders should be allowed to pay a fix amount of tax so the FBR officials could be satisfied in this regard.
