Chief Collector directs officials to step up efforts to increase revenue

KARACHI: A series of meetings were held at the office of Chief Collector-Appraisement (South) in recent days soon after the end of 2nd quarter of the fiscal year 2013-14.

The sources informed Customs Today that the Chief Collector-Appraisement (South) Nasir Masroor Ahmed held meetings with the high officials of all three collectorates i.e. MCC-Appraisement (East), MCC-Appraisement (West) and MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim in the first three days of the year 2014.

They further told this scribe that the Chief Collector-Appraisement (South) reviewed the performance of all three collectorates and asked the officials concerned to enhance the revenue collection of their collectorates.

During the meetings, the Chief Collector also lauded the efforts being made by the officials of all three collectorates in order to achieve the revenue targets set by FBR.

“Recommendations with a view to improve the revenue collection also came under discussion during the meetings”, sources revealed.

The Chief Collector-Appraisement (South) hoped that the Customs officials will work tirelessly in order to achieve the targets.

Collector MCC-Appraisement (East) Abdul Rashid Shaikh, Collector MCC-Appraisement (West) Muhammad Saleem, Collector MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim Dr Agha Owais Jawwad, ADCs and DCs of all three collectorates also attended the meetings.
