China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will play major role to promote trade relations

FAISALABAD. Chaudhary Muhammad Nawaz President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) has said that time has come to translate the Pak-China friendship into economic prosperity of the two nations. In this connection, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will play a major role in cementing trade and industrial linkage between the two countries. He was talking to a Chinese’s delegation that visited FCCI here.

Zhihua Wang headed the delegation while a documentary on Faisalabad and FCCI was also screened. Chaudhary Muhammad Nawaz said that Faisalabad is strategically located in the heart of Pakistan from where we can have access to any part of the country within few hours. Similarly, Faisalabad is also second major revenue generating city of Pakistan after Karachi. He said that FCCI is included among three top Chambers of the country. He told that one of the biggest, modern & state-of-the-art industrial estate is being developed in Faisalabad over 4500 acres of land and Chinese investors should also avail from this opportunity.

He told that at least five Chinese companies have launched joint ventures in collaboration with Pakistani counterparts and they have also got the membership of FCCI. He said that more companies should also avail from the available untapped industrial and commercial potential of this city.

Wang said that Pakistan and China has strong friendship like family and now they are endeavoring to open new avenues of cooperation for the progress and prosperity of their coming generation. In this connection, his company was interested in major infrastructure and business projects. He also introduced the profile of its company and said that it dealing in municipal engineering, reinforced concrete, drainage pipes and electronics etc.
