BEIJING: China stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Technology and Retailers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 2.02% to hit a new 3-years high, while the SZSE Component index climbed 3.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Founder Tech (SS:600601), which rose 10.04% or 1.220 points to trade at 13.370 at the close. Meanwhile, Wuchangyu (SS:600275) added 10.04% or 1.080 points to end at 11.840 and Guodian Nj (SS:600268) was up 10.04% or 1.300 points to 14.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dazhong Trans B (SS:900903), which fell 3.34% or 0.064 points to trade at 1.854 at the close. Huaye (SS:600240) declined 3.12% or 0.670 points to end at 20.820 and Minfeng Paper (SS:600235) was down 2.17% or 0.410 points to 18.480.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were AVIC Aircraft Co Ltd (SZ:000768) which rose 10.00% to 43.45, Yantai Jereh Oilfield Services Group Co Ltd (SZ:002353) which was up 10.00% to settle at 44.55 and Suning Commerce Group Co Ltd (SZ:002024) which gained 9.99% to close at 21.91.
The worst performers were Leshi Internet Info Tech (SZ:300104) which was down 1.90% to 74.89 in late trade, Henan Shuanghui Investment & Development Co Ltd (SZ:000895) which lost 0.18% to settle at 27.24 and Suzhou Gold Mantis Construction Decoration Co Ltd (SZ:002081) which was unchanged 0% to 32.53 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 878 to 85.
