Chinese firm tells Nawaz 1100MW, 720MW, 590MW projects worth $5b afoot in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: China Three Gorges Corporation told Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of various projects it was working on in Pakistan and its future plans while these projects include 1100 MW Kohala Hydropower Project, 720 MW Karot Hydropower Project and 590 MW Mahl Hydropower Project.

Two of these projects – Karot and Kohala are included in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), it added. He was informed that all these projects were at an advance stage of development, having an investment of around US$ 5 billion.
